Coaching privacy notice
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This notice explains how Conversation of Money Ltd (“we”, “us”) uses your personal information when you book and take part in Individual Coaching with Peter Komolafe. It sits alongside our website privacy policy.
Who we are
Conversation of Money Ltd is the data controller for your personal information.
- Registered in England and Wales, company number 12651828
- Registered office: 5 Brayford Close, London, E1 0SG
- Email: hello@peterkomolafe.com
What we collect
- Your registration details, such as your name, email address and phone number, when you fill in the coaching registration form.
- Your fact find, which covers your financial situation, for example your income, spending, savings, debts, pensions, mortgage and money goals.
- Payment details. Payments are taken by Stripe. We see that you’ve paid, but never your full card details.
- Your session recording. Sessions take place on Zoom and are recorded so Peter can write your personalised report accurately. We’ll tell you at the start of the session. The recording is deleted once your report has been sent, and we don’t keep it.
- Peter’s notes and your personalised report.
- WhatsApp messages you send Peter with follow-up questions, and your phone number.
Sensitive information
Your fact find doesn’t ask about your health, but you may choose to tell us something like that because it affects your money. If you do, we’ll only use it to tailor your coaching, and we’ll ask for your explicit agreement first. You don’t have to share it.
How we use it, and why we’re allowed to
- Arrange your session, prepare using your fact find, coach you and write your report. Basis: performing our contract with you.
- Record your session to write an accurate report. Basis: performing our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in getting your report right.
- Answer your follow-up questions on WhatsApp. Basis: performing our contract with you.
- Take payment and keep financial records. Basis: our contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep accounts.
- Use any health or similar information you choose to share. Basis: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Handle a complaint or dispute. Basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our business.
We don’t use your coaching information for marketing, we don’t sell it, and we don’t make automated decisions about you.
Coaching is education, not regulated advice
Peter’s coaching helps you understand your money and decide your own next steps. It isn’t regulated financial advice.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run coaching, and only as much as they need:
- Jotform, which runs the registration form and fact find, and stores your answers.
- Stripe, which takes your payment.
- Zoom, which hosts and records your session.
- WhatsApp (Meta), for follow-up questions. Messages are end-to-end encrypted.
- Microsoft 365, our email and file storage, where we keep your report and notes.
We may also share information with our accountants or professional advisers, or where the law requires it. We never share your information with anyone for their own marketing.
International transfers
Some of these services are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. Where that happens, it’s protected by recognised safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Session recording: deleted once your report has been sent.
- Fact find, notes and your report: 2 years after your session, so we can answer follow-up questions, then deleted.
- WhatsApp messages: deleted once they’re no longer needed to answer your questions, and no later than 2 years after our last contact.
- Payment and invoice records: 6 years, to meet tax and accounting rules.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to it;
- ask for a copy of your information to take elsewhere;
- withdraw your consent, where we rely on it.
Email hello@peterkomolafe.com. We’ll reply within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
