My story
I grew up in foster care and went through homelessness. Nobody sat me down and explained money, and I spent my twenties in debt because of it.
I went on to spend 18 years in UK financial services, working across retail banking, corporate banking and wealth management in Canary Wharf, where I became a member of the executive team at a Fortune 100 company. Along the way I qualified as a financial adviser and learned how money and the industry really work from the inside.
In 2020, I left to start the conversations I wish someone had had with me. That became Conversation of Money, a book with HarperCollins, TV work and Calm Money: plain English, practical steps, and no jargon.
